Some Random Red Screen like a BSOD

Hey all.

Just upgraded my PC to Windows 8 64-bit and did some upgrades to my computer, I got a new 3TB HDD and i have tested that drive out with Seagates Diag Tools they have and no errors one healthy drive it says but also got a Corsair H100i but that ain't the problem i think but also got a 16GB kit of RAM to up my RAM to 32GB at first i thought it maybe faulty RAM but a ran a 16hr Memtest86 and did 5 passes and no errors or ecc errors so now i am stumped at what could cause this random red screen.

It seems to happen on Battlefield 3 and i have only had 3 of these red screens as of yet, Computer guy i know says it maybe a driver issue or just cause i am on Windows 8 and not a lot of games etc are 100% compatible as of yet since its a new OS but yeah thought i would pop by here and see what you guys think and hopefully solve this case.

Thank you in advance!

Okay re-editing this since i just got another one then returned to Windows and then got some blue screen with a sad face on it so updating the DMP file below.

Welcome

If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

Please use the Kaspersky removal tool to remove Kaspersky:
Check for an update on the firmware of your SSD.

Check if the latest version of the drivers for ATI suit your system:
Don't worry they're not for just Vista, but Win 7 and Win 8 also.

Perform a clean boot:
Perform a System File Check:

Restart the system and report back.

Thanks for your reply koolkat77

1) Never really was into overclocking since my system handles everything fine, But i had the AMD Turbo Core on which i have now just switched off.

2) Do i have to remove Kaspersky just for this test etc? Cause i use it and have been for many years.

3) Recently installed Windows 8 just last week and downloaded all my drivers that i could find to the latest by going on the ASUS website for my motherboard and then ATI to download Catalyst 13.1.

4) Did the SFC /SCANNOW and it found and successfully repaired some corrupted files.

What a very sinister computer haha well for 5 days it was 100% perfect then all the sudden RSOD but i have noticed something new it only happens only for Battlefield 3 since this week i have been playing Skyrim and Guild Wars 2 and they ran perfect so it seems its just when i play Battlefield 3 and things get intense like when the players start swarming and camping a spot and you have like 64 players all throwing there grenades around so yeah.

Well anyways i have placed another diagnostics down below anyways.

Your only crashes are from Battlefield 3?
Check on a gamer site to see if it is a known problem with W8.

With that much RAM I would check it to see if it is causing issues.
You need to run a minimum of 7 full passes with memtest86+.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Might be easier to remove two RAM cards and test with 16GB RAM. Re-create the crash scenario with Battlefield 3.

Can you download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.
For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.
How to Post a Screenshot in Seven Forums
Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and the CPU integrated memory controller voltages are.

The SFC /SCANNOW errors are indicating there is a problem somewhere.

The previous crash is exactly the same as above.

You may need to remove the Corsair Link driver and software to see if there is any affect.

Drivers:
Code:
AsUpIO.sys Aug 03 2010 - out of date - ASUS hardware monitoring software related
ASUSFILTER.sys Sep 20 2011 - out of date - ASUS USB Hub filter driver
Un-install all Asus utilities, they are known to cause instability.

Check these drivers for updates or remove associated program.
Code:
pnarp.sys Jun 06 2009 - out of date - Pure Networks, Inc. Network Magic Address Resolution Protocol Driver
pnpcap.sys Oct 28 2008 - out of date -
purendis.sys Sat Jun 06 12:32:06 2009 - out of date - Pure Networks, Inc. Network Magic NDIS Relay Driver

Heya Dave76,

I will run a Memtest86 again since last i did it i got to 5 passes with no errors so will go to 7 and post the results as well as the CPU-Z stuff etc.

Now i have done the following:

CorsairLink 2 yup i figured and knew that maybe a problem as i have the Corsair H100i and the fans are so loud and noisy on default settings so i use this software to tone them down Corsair support has informed me to uninstall the USB Dongle which i have done now as only certain PSU's support the driver and can cause problems in the long run, Also later there will be a Windows 8 version.

AsusSuite i have removed this also checked my drivers and AsUpIO.sys and ASUSFILTER.sys is removed

Network Magic i have removed since of Aug 2012 they have discontinued this product so will never see another update and it didn't do much except made it easier to access the router so pnarp.sys, pnpcap.sys and purendis.sys is also removed.

rikvm_38F51D56.sys i couldn't find much on this and CyberLink were no help too, I could not find this also in my drivers folder so i don't know were that hoped too.

SeaGate DiscWizard i removed as i never use it and downloaded it cause it was with my HDD's firmware update but now they removed it from the downloads section so i did too, So snapman.sys, timntr.sys and vsfltr53.sys are now removed.

I don't use RealTemp, CorsairLink 2 as stated up above yes, And Game Booster god knows why i had that on there but that has been removed now, But also seems the sys file is no longer in the drivers folder too so i don't know if i managed to remove it during cleanup etc

Now the last Code WmBEnum.sys, WmFilter.sys and WmXlCore.sys are apart of my logitech dual action gamepad its old yeah so would i have to remove this and buy a new updated control more Windows 8 friendly since Aug 2010 was there last update.

"Btw when i say the sys is removed i did not touch that folder just scouted it after i un-installed the program using them sys files to see if there still lurking"

Run memtest86+ for 7 full passes, stop it when it reaches pass #8.
Each pass runs different tests, so it's important to run a full pass #7.

Bad news about Link, it was on my list but now on hold.

Good work on the driver cleanup.
Let us know when you get the other information and memtest86+ results.

Oh btw about the MemTest86 should i do it for all the sticks? Cause when i got this computer 8 months ago i had BSOD's due to faulty RAM back then i had 16GB and the store i got it from replaced it for free and did full diagnostics on the newly added ones and said it passed 8 passes with MemTest but just before i started this thread i just rebuilt the computer to newer stuff and used those same sticks but brought another 16GB kit, So should i test the old ones or leave them be since they have been tested and just test the new ones or do both?

Test first with all RAM cards installed, this will tell you if your system configuration is stable.
It's best to first test what the system is actually using, if it fails then there are troubleshooting steps to follow and find the cause.

Different brands and specs of RAM can have problems running together. Sometimes they run ok, most of the time they don't.
Always best to get the same brand and speced RAM.
Sometimes the same brand/spec RAM purchased at different times won't be compatible due to manufacturing techniques or it may be from different manufacturers. Neither Patriot or Transcend actually manufacture RAM.

Let's see how the memtest86+ goes, if you get any error, one is too many, you can stop the test.
If there are errors we can try changing some settings to see if it will run stable, but there are no guarantees.
Will need the voltage settings that were requested previously.

Have you check the Asus motherboard support site for updated drivers?

Yeah poped by there and on the Windows 7 downloads section it has USB drivers but Windows 8 they have nothing so very confused indeed and would not have a clue of what driver to get sadly :S since all it says is Generic etc like in attachment also yeah i figured the RAM would be a issue so i will be buying another Patriot Kit so they are all the same.

Just took a look, it is strange they don't have Asmedia USB drivers for W8.

In Device Manager what is listed for 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'?

I would try the Windows 7 drivers but, first make an Image backup of your W8 partition, then make a 'System Restore Point'.
They should work but you need to be cautious and be able to restore if it all goes wrong.

You should try a couple RAM settings before you buy new RAM, it does work sometimes.
The memtest86+ will tell you if there is even a problem with the RAM, run it first.
