Didn't know where else to go so I'm posting here. I run a machine that I built and recently installed windows 8 a few months ago. As of now I haven't been pushing it and using the machine aggressively as I have with windows 7 previously. What I mean by that is I would have multiple programs running (mainly adobe) and too many chrome tabs, while only ever placing to sleep, rebooting once a week.
NOT the case since I installed Window 8! I only use chrome (the non-windows app version), and Open Office.
Suddenly it will lag on me. Having task manager open it would sayy 100% disk usage when nothing is being run. I thought it was windows maintenance and have since rescheduled the run.
Now it will lag anytime to the point where it will come up with the BSOD splash screen ("something unexpected.. system will reboot") and restarts. When it restarts it will fail to boot from disc. I have to physically turn off the computer with the button and restart that way. It will boot fine. Then the cycle happens again.
I have attached the dump files as per instructions. If you need any more information, please let me know.
