Cant get a working Graphics Driver

Hi. i have installed windows 8 with a clean install. i got some BSOD issues when installing but i managed to get across it. now my main problem is that i cant get a working graphics driver. i did everything in this forum and others but i was unsuccessful :(. My Graphics card is ASUS EN6200LE TC256/TD/64M 256MB. But i always used to install Nvidia 6200LE drivers in windows XP and windows 7.

So far i have installed Nvidia Driver 306.97 & 306.23 and they both gave me BSOD. i tried installing Driver Version 280.26 (which was the one in my windows 7 before i upgraded) and also version 259.44 (which was the latest version released by ASUS for this card) and they both gave me the black screen.

A friend of mine told me that the only option is to replace the graphics card. i was wondering if there is any other way to fix this. i would be really grateful if anybody can help me with this issue. Thanks in advance!

Your BIOS dates from 2009. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

D: drive is overfull. Please ensure that you have 15% free space on all drives.

No drivers installed for this device:
Not Available PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0163&SUBSYS_827B1043&REV_A1\4&2254C66F&0&0008 The drivers for this device are not installed.
This is your NVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE, so we expected this.
Interestingly, the nVidia video drivers are showing in the memory dump, so the problem may not be with the drivers but may be with the hardware.

Do the memory dumps only happen when you try to install the drivers?
Have you tried the drivers from the Asus website?

If so, then I'd have to suggest borrowing another video card to see if that one can install without BSOD problems.
Also, please run these free hardware diagnostics (I'd start with the video tests first): Hardware Diagnostics

Finally, as there are lot's of older drivers in your system, I'd suggest a clean install of Windows. You can disable them, but there's a good chance that the system won't boot if you try this. Make sure to do this BEFORE trying to remove the drivers:
1) Create a Restore Point using System Restore
2) Create a Repair disc by going to Start...All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc
3) Test the System Repair disc to make sure that you can get to the System Restore entry when you boot from the disk (you may also want to try actually using System Restore to make sure that it works)
If you do try to remove the drivers - only rename them, DON'T delete them!

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Hi. i have installed windows 8 with a clean install. i got some BSOD issues when installing but i managed to get across it. now my main problem is that i cant get a working graphics driver. i did everything in this forum and others but i was unsuccessful :(.

My System Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS V-P5G31
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.80GHz
RAM: DDR2 PC2-6400 (400 MHz) 2GB x 2
Graphics: ASUS EN6200LE TC256/TD/64M 256MB
What driver was installed during your clean install? If just some sort of generic, did you use your machine long enough before installing a better driver to tell if the same problem was present? If want try something "major," then you could do a reset (removes everything and reinstalls Windows 8--be well backed up) to see what happens if you use the installed driver for awhile.
