So, I'm in need of help. Not sure where else to look, I googled for days but still can't find the answer. Attached are the 2 most recent dump files. the 44-01 is the one i get most often, the other one pops up once in a while. So basically the 44-01 happens 90% of the time after the computer goes to sleep. It sleeps fine but once it wakes up it runs for maybe 5-10 min and then BSOD. Now I've tried every possible setting when it comes to sleep. Hibernate on off, and all the other settings as well, unless I'm missing something. Other than that not sure what else to say. Just hope someone can give me an insight as to hopefully what is causing it. Let me know if you need any other info besides the dump files.

And I'm not running any other Antivirus besides defender and really don't have anything special installed as well, it's pretty much a clean install since i though maybe it messed up the first time around. Have latest nvidia drivers as well.

Everything else is zipped up in the other file.

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

Your BIOS dates from 2011. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices. Especially in Win7/Win8 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7(and I suspect with Win8) - using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7/Win8 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

D: E: and F: drives have less than 15% free space. Please free up this space for optimum performance

It appears that you have 4 hard drives. What is the make/model/wattage and age of your power supply?

Coprocessor drivers are not installed:
Coprocessor PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&SUBSYS_82E71043&REV_A2\3&267A616A&1&0B The drivers for this device are not installed.
Please visit the manufacturer's website and install the chipset drivers for your motherboard/system.

Please turn off Driver Verifier. To do this, open up verifier.exe and select "Delete existing settings", then click on the "Finish" button. Reboot for the change in settings to take affect.

You have the 2005 version of ASACPI.sys - a known cause of BSOD's in Windows.
Go to the Asus website and download this driver: ASUS TurboV V1.02.02 for Windows 32/64bit XP & 32/64bit Vista & 32/64bit Windows 7. It's the last one in the Utilities section for your motherboard.

Extract the .zip file to a convenient location
Open it, then double click on the Acpi64 folder
Then right click on the AsAcpiIns.exe file and select Properties
Then select the Compatibility tab
Then select Run this program in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7
Then select Run as an administrator
Then click OK
Then double click on it and let it install.
Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thank you for the reply! I will update all the drivers I can and I'll test. The problem is though that my motherboard runs the nforce 980a and those drivers from nvidia are old, nothing new for windows 8 so not sure how well that will work. As for the power supply, it's an Ultra and i believe it's a 550w and about 3 years old. The wifi adapter as well I will replace it with an internal one.

One weird thing I noticed, sometime not all the time, but sometimes after the BSOD when windows reboots, everything that is attached via usb is being re-recongnized by windows, really not sure why it does that, just found that odd.

But I will start with the drivers and report back.

Thank you again.

*** Ok first problem, tried updating the ASACPI.sys driver, no go. Tried the way you explained, cmd just flashed on the screen for 2 sec and nothing. Tried installing the whole TurboV package and got an error, "TurboV does not support this model" Am I missing something here? ***

Check the ASACPI.sys driver in C:\Windows\System32\drivers.
I suspect that you'll see that it is dated from 2009 (I recall that the installer doesn't give any feedback)

If it didn't work, there are other ways to proceed.

To test the Power Supply, disconnect as much stuff as you can live without for a couple of days. Then see if the problems are less frequent. If that's the case, then it may be an issue with the power supply.

There is also a free PSU stress test here, but I'm not real familiar with it: Home Please read the note about Windows 8 compatibility issues and run it under DX9.

Depending on the drivers, you may end up finding that the system isn't compatible with Win8.
Run the driver install in Compatibility mode, selecting to run as Windows 7 (don't use Vista drivers) and Run as adminstrator.

Dunno about the USB recognition thing - but it may just be that you don't get to see it each and every time (because each time the system starts it re-detects everything that's attached to it).

Good luck!
