Hi,

My samsung gamer laptop has not been very stable since upgrading from windows 7 to 8.

I assume there is a driver which is causing the issue but have not had much luck understanding any potential issue from the minidump files.

I've attched the last few mini dump files here.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/256434/dump.zip

if anyone can give any insight that would be much appreciated.

Came with the laptop (i7 of some sort)
    Motherboard
Pretty sure that it has one, but haven't checked inside the case!
    Memory
upgraded to 12 gB from 8 gB
    Graphics Card(s)
has switchable - Intel/ATI - Used wrong drivers, now ATI card is inop :( Will have to fix it soon!
    Sound Card
I'm nearly deaf, so this isn't used often
    Monitor(s) Displays
Touchscreen on laptop/32" Toshiba on HDMI (laid the Sharp TV on a mouse and cracked the screen!)
    Screen Resolution

    Antivirus
    Windows Defender and Windows Firewall
    Other Info
    I'm handsome and a snappy dresser :0)
I'm no expert, I've only just started to really get into analyzing crash dumps so please ignore this information this is just for my personal notes to see if I am somewhat correct on my diagnoses.

Diskeeper (excsd.sys & excfs.sys) and Intellimemory (intmsd.sys) by Condusiv Technologies could be the problem (possibly un-install or update program(s))...

Out of date drivers will possibly need updating:

iaStor.sys: Driver Reference Table - iaStor.sys
PxHlpa64.sys: Driver Reference Table - PxHlpa64.sys
excfs.sys: Driver Reference Table - excfs.sys
SABI.sys: Driver Reference Table - SABI.sys
WDKMD.sys: Driver Reference Table - WDKMD.sys
secdrv.sys: Driver Reference Table - secdrv.SYS

Possibly update Intel chipset/motherboard drivers to latest...

this is all i got...

cheers.

Excellent work milw0rm !
I'd stress updating the Intel storage drivers as there is an SSD in use.
With SSD's you'll need:
- the latest firmware for the SSD
- the latest storage drivers (DO NOT use any dated before 2012 - too many problems)

This device is disabled:
Not Available USB\VID_8087&PID_07DA\6&3A1D90D2&0&5 This device is disabled.
It is most likely your Intel Bluetooth. Is this deliberately disabled? If so, why? Please:
- re-enable the device
- update it's drivers
- disable the device again (if so desired).

The WER section of MSINFO32 shows 4 memory dumps due to intmsd.sys - a component of your IntelliMemory Storage Filter Driver by Condusiv Technologies. I've seen several threads about problems with this - so I'd suggest uninstalling it immediately!

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
