Solved red screen crash then restart

hey I'm hoping someone can help I have had windows 8 pro now for 3 days, and I play world of warcraft ever since I've have had windows 8 I get a red screen and then my comp restarts every 30min/1hour I thought it was just wow but last night it did the same thing downloading a steam game. PLEASE HELP :)

windows 8pro 64bit
AMD Radeon HD 6900 series 2gb 800MHz/1250MHz
Intel(R) core(TM) i7cpu 860 2.80GHz
gigabyte P55-UD3 socket 1156
DDR3 1333MHz 4gb (2x2gb) 1.50v ver2.2

tried
older graphic drivers
Dxdiag no fault
checked all wiring
checked ram
6hours of surfing the net (forums)

    I'm nearly deaf, so this isn't used often

    Touchscreen on laptop/32" Toshiba on HDMI (laid the Sharp TV on a mouse and cracked the screen!)
