I've been getting random BSOD crashes that happens anytime, from playing games or simply surfing the net. Sometimes, instead of a BSOD, it just hangs with the screen distorting.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please get all available updates for Windows through Windows Update

Please install the drivers for this device:
Marvell 91xx Config ATA Device IDE\PROCESSORMARVELL_91XX_CONFIG_____________________1.01____\6&31F68D52&0&1.1.0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
This is most likely the Marvell Controller for your motherboard and can be downloaded at the motherboard support website.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions). I strongly suspect that this hold true for Win8 systems also.
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Older versions of Garena (the drivers for yours date from 2010) were known to cause BSOD's. Please either update this or un-install it from your system.

Please update your network adapter drivers as they are relatively old (dating from a year before Win8 went GA - General Availability).

If these things don't stop the BSOD's, then please start with the free diagnostics here: Hardware Diagnostics
