Hello all,

I have a had a blue screen of death recently, when the computer restarted, my graphics card was no longer being utilized. Instead windows is using "Microsoft basic display driver" Attached is the information provided by the diagnostic tool provided on this forum.

The reports are missing some needed information. Please rerun the tool from here and let it run for at least 15 minutes: https://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cr...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

At work we run diagnostics on every system that we take in for repair (before we even start working on it). At a minimum, please run the free diagnostics here: Initial Hardware Diagnostics. For more in-depth diagnostics, please run those listed here: Hardware Diagnostics

Wireless USB XBox controllers are known to cause BSOD's on some systems. Please uninstall the software for this device and physically remove the device from the system to see if this is the cause. Just FYI - your drivers are significantly newer than those that were known to cause BSOD's, so this may not be the cause.

One memory dump blames your video, the other blames a USB audio device. This can be either 2 different problems - or a symptom of a low-level driver/hardware problem.

To start, please remove the USB audio device and uninstall it's software. In the past they've been known to cause problems.

Then follow these steps to troubleshoot the video issues: Video TDR Timeout - 0x116 + 0x117

Finally, as time permits, please run these free diagnostics to see if there's any hardware issues that need to be dealt with: Hardware Diagnostics
