New BSOD issues

I installed Windows 8 recently and was have DPC Watchdog Violation BSOD issues. I posted to this forum and was told to update my JMicron Raid controller drivers. I did this, and my issues were solved, at least for several days. However, this morning, my computer started having several BSOD issues. Here are a list of the different errors I received:

NTFS File system (ataport.sys)
System Thread Exception
Bad Pool Header

It keeps crashing when I try to start-up inconsistently and crashes soon after I log in. It crashed twice while typing this message. Please take a look at my crash log and see if you see a solution. I'm guessing it has something to do with a driver, but I've gone through and updated every driver that I can think of. Any other thoughts? If not, I'm just going to go back to Windows 7.

I had this exact issue. I assume its a Sata/Raid controller pci/pcie? I had the exact same issue even after I re-installed the drivers, the BSOD wouldn't even let me log into windows at one point, until I physically took out the raid controller and I haven't had an issue since. I bought two completely different brand sata/raid controllers for PCI and one PCIe, but the BSOD persisted whether I updated or reinstalled the drivers, reinstalled windows 8, I did everything but throwing out the kitchen sink LOL. One didn't even have windows 8 drivers and that was for this VIA sata/raid/ide.

As for the JMicron, there was a fairly new driver for it, but still didn't solve my issues no matter what I tried. If not you're out of luck as I am too. I got a new motherboard with no IDE and I'm still trying to find an affordable solution to use my IDE hard drives.

Not sure if this helps, but I wonder if someone else has this issue

The funny thing is that I had Windows 8 for about a month without any issues like this. I know the first time I installed everything that I didn't download the latest drivers. Unfortunately, I had an old registry cleaner that I think corrupted my installation, so I had to do a clean install again. Since that second installation, it's been buggy as hell.

WER section of MSINFO32 blames the jraid.sys driver (JMicron)
Since you updated the drivers and the problem persists, we'll have to look deeper into the storage sub-system.
Some possibilities include (but this isn't all of them):
- bad file system on the hard drive
- bad hard drive
- bad connection to the storage controller (on the mobo)
- bad storage controller (hardware)
- corrupted chipset drivers.
- malware

Also, the pattern of the latest memory dumps is suggestive of a low-level problem (either hardware or low-level drivers).

Start with these free diagnostics: Initial Hardware Diagnostics

If possible, please uninstall your sound card drivers/software and then remove the sound card from the system. Test to see if this stops the BSOD's

Network drivers are also mentioned, so please update/remove any program that's associated with your network card(s). In particular I'm concerned about the outdated driver mentioned below.

Many older drivers are on the system, and several have been known to cause BSOD's. Please update them, the list follows:
Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
