Hi, I've recently upgraded to W8 x64 pro and have been having bsods when playing league of legends. It happens anywhere in the game from the end to the start. The screen instantly turns black and no sound can be heard. Then my computers fans start making lots of noise and I have to turn it off manually.

Then when I start it up I get the bluescreen with IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
	bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff802716bc5fe, address which referenced memory

You mean drivers on a disk? Then no, I don't know where it would be.

I installed w8 from on a ssd where I moved windows7 on with acronis. Both the disks don't contain a partition with drivers. Do note that I'm on a desktop that was composed. So I don't got any cd I'm afraid.

Yes but I don't know what Atheros one I should download. I suppose there is a Atheros chip on my Gigabit card?

That linked driver SHOULD work for your card, as the Gigabyte drivers from their site is based on the same Atheros series (ar500x).
