Stuck in Disk Repair Loop

Okay, so, I bought a copy of Windows 8 to go with my new PC. I am using a 240GB SSD in the new computer and installed windows 8. I noticed that each time I booted up, the OS would repair my drive, but, there is nothing wrong with it, I have had it checked.

However, after a few days of use, I got a BSOD and then it got stuck in a disk repair loop and I couldnt get out of it. I have had to reinstall windows 7 and have had ZERO issues with my drive...EVER. I was wondering if this was a known bug with windows 8 and SSDs and if so is there a fix.

ok, can't fix it if it is no longer there so I'd suggest installing it along side windows 7 if possible and follow these instructions

Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD - Windows 7 Forums

so that if it happens again there will be a dump file to work with.

I am assuming that the procedure is the same in windows 8 as it was in windows 7, it's not likely that it is much different.

I will give it a go. I have been looking around the net and it seems that alot of people are having the auto-repair loop bug.

I did when trying to enable AHCI mode after install...

Was it a traditional BSoD or a ":(" blue screen of unhappiness? (I'll call it that till someone tells me different lol).

It may be a driver issue so try it with as few attached devices as possible at first.
