netr6164.sys with bug check code 133 is SUSPECT (and really old!, version 3.2.0.10 of Mon Mar 10 05:17:38 2008)

Ralink-A MEDIATEK COMPANY

Also related networking drivers are suspect: third party a) virtual network drivers b) VMware c) VPN solutions d) Apple bonjour e) firewalls f) anti virus solutions etc.

According to this:
PCI/mPCI/CB (RT2500)02/12/2009Vista:3.2.0.0
98/ME/2K/XP:3.2.0.10
Windows 98SE
Windows ME
Windows 2000
XP 32/64
Vista 32/64

You should be running 3.2.0.0 rather then 3.2.0.10, so maybe I am wrong about the version number. What is the real version number of your driver?

Anyway, your device is really old, and might not be windows 8 compatible. Do you have an alternative? If so, you might want to disable it and stop using it.

in the symbol file path.

what else should I do?
after entering the command , I opened the same dmp file but I get could not load symbols.. why couldn't I load the symbols?

Let us know where you found it, which version it is, and it's date. Thanks.

I went into driver manager and clicked properties and update driver but it told me the driver was the most recent version already. It's a edimax EW-7128g wireless card so googled it went to the edimax website and downloaded the windows 7 driver because there was no mention of windows 8. When I installed it it uninstalled the older version and I just installed the driver not the software too and it has worked.

The ralink driver that was already installed is
3.0.9.1 and the date 02/06/2010

Can't find where the other driver has been installed to hence me explaining how I got it! Sorry!

Welcome
It is always best to find drivers in the way that you described. You get the most current when going to the website.

It is best doing it that way but sometimes it's hard because they give you a massive list and it's sometimes not obvious which 1s you need! Like when I was trying to find the drivers for my asus motherboard!

Try the free version of Driver Max. The free version is different in only that you can only install a few drivers a day.

Are you saying that driver manager installed a newer driver with a newer date, but it should not have because it was meant for windows xp?

The free version is just like the paid version, except for the daily limitation on new drivers.
