Crashes related to storport.sys Windows 8 x64 Pro
Reposting this here, made the mistake of posting this in Windows 7 crashes area, sorry.

Hey folks. Have banged my head on this and think I need some help with this. My system was previously completely stable under Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Now since my Windows 8 x64 pro install I am getting crashes about once every eight hours related to storport.sys ever time.

Please find my dumps/information attached.

Thank you so much in advance.

Something seems to be funny with win8 and the intel storage driver.
I don't know the details.
On
Station-Drivers: le site de drivers, bios, firmwares avec un forum d'aideThere is an intel storage driver with patch.
Asus recommends not to uninstall the intel storage driver.

For me this means: when you don't have it, don't install it.
When you need it, such as for raid, keep up with the latest intel drivers.
Be careful with uninstalling it.

Personally, my practice has been not to install it any more, as it has caused only hardship for me.

This version is available from station-drivers:

11.6.2.1002

Dell mentions:
Problem: A blue screen occurs when you attempt to
uninstall the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver in Windows 8.

Solution: The Intel Rapid Storage Technology is
considered a critical boot path driver and uninstalling it, is not supported. Be
sure to update your Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website before upgrading to Windows 8.

aswnet.sys is also suspected with BSOD code 133. Remove it. Upgrade it. Check for windows 8 compatibility. I don't know what it does.
