Hi! Just registered to say that i'm facing the same problem as you! Your PC configs are a bit better than mine but looks like we have the same graphics card in common. Are you using a 6950 or 6970? Mine's a Sapphire 6950 2GB. What's your ATI Catalyst version?
I've found that when we spam the "search" button at BC2 server list, this error occurs faster than the normal and, if we quickly join a server before this happens, it let us play for some time before happening.
Please, provide more details about your graphics card driver, version (manufacturer) and maybe something that you've installed that makes you think it's the cause of the problem so we can try to solve this togheter if help doesn't come.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english, not my first language.

Ok, looks like i'm lasting longer at BC2 menus before the red screen, all i did was installing the new 12.11 beta 8 without uninstalling the 12.10 (i know, pretty stupid and nothing technical) which was previously installed. The funny thing is that there's no mention on beta changelog about a "red screen", an generic error or nothing like that which makes me think that what's making me last longer isn't the new driver but the simple act of installing it on top of another, like if it wasn't correctly installed previously and such procedure help fixes the missing files (if the case). I'll keep testing to reach a satisfactory result or a conclusion.

Third edit. So far so good. Spammed "search" button at Bad Company 2 server browser list and nothing wrong, no red screens, no blue screens, no slowdowns (happened to you too? little lagings before the real deal, the red screen), nothing. All i did was installing one driver on another without removing the previous one. I've even formated my PC with another copy of W8 Pro looking for the cause of this after reinstalling drivers, disabling Origin overlay, shutting every other program down, messing with RAMs voltage, reinstalling the game (but that red screen happened on BF3 as well) etc. I sincerely hope this works for you too.
Good luck.

hi,

@area 66.

RAM module: 4x DDR-3 UDIMM 4096 MB 800MHz

@cdraum

good to see others with same probs, its hard to find. my english bad too..:)

i see you got ati catalyst 12.10. i got now, current was 9..... so i try new.

BF3: redscreen "solved" because work in win7 combatibility-mode. Works without redscreen at mom.

Graphic card;

AMD Radeon HD 6970

redscreen happen mostly in 30min-1h playing. Make sure to uninstall gigabyte -tools like easytune..this is well-know conflict to get a bluescreen in other windowsversion.

im a non-professionel too, just simply user. Redscreen shows no text. Combatibility-mode (work in vista for BFBC2 at mom) doesnt solve the prob like BF3. i get contact the pc-manufacturer, techn.support never saw a redscreen. (im laughin).
Google spray out the reedscreen will happen in win 7 too.. but i never saw there. BF3 and BFBC2 works without any probs, so i cant belive this will be a RAM prob. Both playing in highest settings without lower the game.

Hope to find more BFBC2 gamers with redscreen to solve this. But most players wont windows 8 for gaming-pc :(

hi,

@area 66.

RAM module: 4x DDR-3 UDIMM 4096 MB 800MHz

you should have 16 gb in Windows

so you have a bad memory modules, or a defective memory slot on your motherboard , or a defective CPU as the memory is controlled in the i5-2500

let first check the RAM ; remove all your ram sticks and restart you PC with only 1 at the time, you should fine the guilty one very easy this way if you have a dead one.

Come back with the answer

hi,

i keep windows 8 pro 64. its very fast and easy to handle. classic shell give back a win7 desktop so you fell home:)

Im still didnt know the prob about redscreen.

Set high graphics in the game redscreen while log ingame. Set lowest setting, combatibility mode win7 or vista redscreen 0-1h playing.

sometime can play more then 1h without.

Why no one find solution? Gamer doesnt like win8 so just few get this screen. Im ask manufacturer support, other technicals, they never saw a redscreen.

im hope win8 get a servicepack to fix this and another probs.

@Jim888

The minidump you supplied is pointing to a DirectX driver so re-install that:

Download DirectX End-User Runtime from Official Microsoft Download Center

I would also un-install and then re-install your graphics card driver:

ATI: AMD Driver Autodetect
Nvidia: Drivers | GeForce

I've also found some other drivers that you should update or un-install/remove:

AsUpIO.sys - ASUS hardware monitoring software related: Driver Reference Table - AsUpIO.sys
ASUSFILTER.sys - ASUS USB Hub filter driver: Driver Reference Table - ASUSFILTER.sys
ICCWDT.sys - Intel(R) Watchdog Timer Driver: Driver Reference Table - ICCWDT.sys
LGBusEnum.sys - Logitech Keyboard: Driver Reference Table - LGBusEnum.sys
LGVirHid.sys - Logitech Gamepanel Virtual HID Device Driver: Driver Reference Table - LGVirHid.sys

-cheers

It looks like you already have the latest version of DirectX installed. I would therefore continue with the rest of my instruction. At least two of those drivers (AsUpIO.sys & ASUSFILTER.sys) are related to your ASUS software and motherboard/chipset. So you might consider going to the official ASUS site and installing the updated drivers for your chipset and other software(s):

ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS P8Z77-I DELUXE
