Alert! Google Chrome download carries malware!

I was just potching about (as you do!) with a new install of windows 8. I decided to download Google chrome app when suddenly after several minutes this malware set in! I could not use use anything on the Internet as the malware blocked most browsing. All sorts of sites with gaming came up needless to say I'm not interested. So after a while I find I need to re-install Windows 8 not knowing at this point it was Google chrome. So after fresh install I have decided to download Google chrome first. Two minutes after installing Google chrome what do I find, The same god damn malware...Having to do another fresh install to get rid of bug!

I don't believe it come from Chrome, I have it install since the 15th of August and it work fine . Of course I get it from Google Website, if someone download it from place like C-Net, well

I have to tell you area66 that I downloaded it from Google Chrome website. I now have a fresh install and have installed Opera instead. There are no bugs to report as of yet.
Also I should point out that I have not had a bug on my computer for nearly 18 months so I was a bit surprised!

is this problem still present?
