Random BSOD when watching vids or even when PC is asleep!

Hey Guys! I have been running win8 pro x64 since it came available for tech-net members. prior to win8 i had win7 Pro and everything ran perfectly for years. All of my hardware is the same and when i upgraded to win8 i performed a CLEAN install. The PC i am using is an HP Pavilion a6110n with an ATI Radeon HD 4550.

When i first installed the win8, i had everything working perfectly however i had no sound when using Metro apps just in desktop. From what i understand they are actually 2 different environments. There was little to no info on how to troubleshoot so i wound up doing a REFRESH my PC. now everything is working perfectly. The only driver update is available is for the realtek audio, however i am scared to push it through until i have my system image/restore available so i do not have to refresh again. I have the win-debug installed, but when i try to read the crash/mini-dump file, it says something about symbols not being correct and i do not see any real info on what is causing the problem.

When the BSOD occurs, it says "your PC has encountered a problem and needs to be restarted" Driver_IRQ_not_equal or less to with ppoe.sys or something similar. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I am very tech savvy so i am just looking for someone to point me in the right direction. Is there something i need to install on my PC besides the win debug development kit? in iorder for it to be able to read the appropriate symbols? I have attached the crash dumps to this post and any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!

Side note- the crashes usually happen when watching a video on the internet, so first i thought GPU driver but lately the crashed happen when the PC is just idle on the desktop. I always put the PC to sleep and it has even happening while the PC is asleep. i do not know if something is waking it up and than it is crashing or if it is happening while it is actually asleep. All i know is i hit the sleep button the PC light turns yellow and when i come back it is completely off and when i restart i get a message about how the PC ran into a problem and needed to be restarted and to send the info to Microsoft. It happens maybe once-twice a day and it is really starting to drive me nuts! Please help!
PS. i have attached 2 dump files into the rar both from today as the PC has crashed twice today

Welcome
Looks like a network problem
Begin by creating a system restore point, so that you can go back if necessary.
Then uninstall your anti virus and replace with the free Windows defender, included in your OS.
Then update your network adapter driver. It can be found in your device manager. You should update from the company website, however.

Hello! Thank you very much for your reply. What program did you use to open that crash dump? Did you get anything in there about the wrong symbols? Also, is the problem with the NIC card Wifi? If so, it happens even when I am using a LAN connection. The driver I am using is the latest driver available from the manufacturer website. I guess I can pull the wifi card completely out of the PC and see if it continues. Oh I forgot to mention, I do not have any AV installed on the PC, just what comes with windows 8 which I believe to be windows defender/MSE

This is what I saw
You need windbg, from Microsoft to read the files.
I have bolded the potential cause. Netio is a driver that usually signifies network problems. Sometimes the Anti Virus is involved.
In the case of 8 latestest is not always the best. 8 is a new concept. Some drivers are not appropriate and we must wait for updates. The precise problem may be unknown until we have more experience with 8.
If you have Defender, its most likely not part of the problem.
The bottom portion of the report is the list of drivers in use during the BSOD.

So what am I missing that allows you to see this info? I have the windows debug kit installed, however when I open the dump files I do not see this. I know it has something to do with symbols. There is a link for symbols in your post, should I follow that and download it?

I will offer you help in everyway that I can, but now there is a problem.
I have Windows Seven, I used these instructions to set up my debugger
Configuring the "Debugging Tools" - Windows 7 Forums
We have not developed a method for 8. Very possibly the information for Seven will work for you. I would suggest that if and when you set it up, you post, here, to help me as well as others in the same way that we are trying to help you

Oh this is great, I will try to configure my debugger like you have yours config for seven and I will report back if I can now see the info. All I get is it whining about symbols not being correct. Definitely does look like a network issue. I am going to pull the wifi card out of my PC. Or try a forced different driver. It is a Netgear WG311V3 it has been nothng but trouble ever since I got the pile of crap. Anyone know of a good place to download ready driver plus?

I just wanted to reply back to maybe help anybody else out that has windows 8 and the Netgear WG311V3. It was definitely the wifi card that was causing the crash. I removed it from my PC and than I hard wired into the bridge I have setup and it works great for days with no crash. So if anyone else is experiencing weird random BSOD and they have that card well I would start there.

The other thing I have found that maybe someone can help me out with is there is a driver that people force with this card and it will allow you to use more than 2GB of ram with a 64-bit OS because for some reason this card will not function properly with more than 2GB. The problem that I am running into is windows 8 will not install the driver. I have even went to advanced boot and disabled driver sig enforcement however, it goes all the way to the " installing phase" and than it times out with an error message about the driver being unsigned. I was wondering if anyone know of a way to "force" an unsigned driver with windows 8? The procedure for win7 doesn't work. If none could point me into the right direction it would be most appreciated.

Thanks agin to the Gent that helped me out by reading my Dump files. You really saved me a lot of frustration and I really appreciate it very much.
