Hello, first and foremost, thankyou for reading this and be there just to help people. It's a selfless action that helps greatly us noobs. So, thankyou.

Second, I'm spanish so my english might be a gramatical horror.

I just installed Windows 8 Pro, and it all goes well except for those Random BSOD i keep having.

I've seen at least 2 different ones, the only difference being the *.sys that windows blames for the BSOD...

The message says: Driver IRQL not less or equal (xxx.sys), xxx being one of:

Ndis.sys <-- happened randomly while I'm just wondering around, but also happens almost everytime I try to open Steam games.

Aswnet.sys <-- I have not stablished the pattern for this. It just happens every now and then and I don't know why. It also happened once while executing the "SF Diagnostic Tool" you recomend.

There might be other *sys files I missed, or something...

I've attached the debug folder, I think i've done the dump thing correctly. Hope this is info enough, and again, thank you.

EDIT
Also, my computer is a little Frankenstein Monster. I've been forced to replace most of its pieces during his life to keep it working. So... it's a little mess.

Welcome
Begain by making a system restore point.
Uninstall your Avast and replace with windows defender, which is part of your OS
Ungrade your network drivers. You can go to the website of the network card and update. You can find your card manufactuer by going to device manager (type device mangager in search), clicking on the network adapters and looking for the company.

Uninstall Avast - I actually was trying to do that... It was hard, I had to download a special uninstaller from their website, but DONE
Reactivate Windows Defender - DONE
Upgrade network drivers - DONE
System Restore Point - DONE

And... it worked like magic. I did try everything that I knew caused a BSOD and nothing bad happened. Can't force the random ones to appear but for the moment I'll say problem solved!

Thank you very much.

I actually found some info in the meanwhile and lots of people has this "Avast - Windows Defender" incompatibility issue...

For the next several months there will be a lot of problems with software and drivers. Eight is really a new OS and concept. I have been finding a lot of problems with Graphics and AntiVirus. BTW, glad that we got your BSOD problem sorted.
