Until today I could search with Google from my address bar. I was prompted to download crawler.com and sadly accepted- next thing I knew, when I was trying to search from my address bar it searched through crawler.com- I didn't like it so I uninstalled it and requested the program to reset my preferences, I restarted and now there's no way I can search from my address bar. At first an error prompt would come up.
In Internet Explorer I went to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and cliked on Reset... Nothing...
In my Control Panel I went to Internet Properties/Advanced/Search from Address Bar and selected Just display the results in the main window... Nothing
In my Control Panel I went to Internet Properties/Search Settings, selected google as default... nothing
I can only type a specific address in the address bar-
I have the google toolbar but when I type anything on the address bar this error comes up:
Oops! Internet Explorer could not find mediation

Hello lolo, and welcome to the Windows Eight Forums.
It would be helpful to know if you are using Windows on your computer, as you do not say if you are using XP, Vista, or Windows 7. You can not be using Windows 8 yet because it has not been released for public use. Then neither do you say which version of IE you are using ...
Your install of crawler.com has affected your computer much the same way as a virus. Hopefully, you created a restore point before you installed it, so the thing to do is to just run the Restore Point Utility to before you installed crawler.com. It would also depend on what version of Windows you have.
If you want to get help, you really need to visit Windows Seven Forums or Vista Forums. This forum's purpose is to test the new forum software and you really need help with a Windows OS.

From the control panel, click on Programs and Features ... find the crawler toolbar and uninstall it. Restart your computer to complete the uninstall.
***NOTE: You may also need to check "Web Security Guard" when the uninstall wizard opens.
