Constant freezing due to Chrome?

I recently installed the Windows 8 RC on a new computer. I had been using the Consumer preview on another computer for months and never had issue with chrome (or any freezing for that matter). Chrome was the first thing I downloaded on this new PC, and I noticed that after about 10 minutes, the computer seemed to slowly freeze (as in first the window frame would freeze, then the site/folder, then the keyboard, then the mouse, etc). I've chalked it up to being chrome since it seems to only happen if Chrome is open, and it hasn't happened at all when I do not have Chrome up. Not to mention chrome was the "only" piece of software installed when it first happened.

I'm currently using IE just to get by, and I mean it's functional and all, but....I'd love to use chrome again if possible. I mean I have TONS of bookmarks and saved preferences that are all synced across multiple devices of mine. Is there any kind of fix for this? Again, it was all fine and dandy in the consumer preview.

Any help would be fantastic,thanks!

I don't think that would work for him, seeing as it only happens when Chrome is open.

@Shadnic Which version of Chrome are you running?
