Hello,

When im playing any (html5/flash) video at any resolution in palemoon or firefox (havent tried chorme and will not) and Im moving with cursor inside browser that video starts to lagg-tearing playback. Ive tried it on intel hd 5500 and geforce840m (I used latest and old drivers), also disabled HW acceleration and its still the same.

IS there any way how can I fix it?

Thanks.

If you are streaming, it depends on your download speed with your ISP and how congested the servers are, where you are streaming the video from. Yesterday Netflix & Youtube were having some really bad problems with streaming.

That would cause buffering, not tearing.

Try checking in task manager, while playing a movie, if your CPU is maxed out or not.

Check if the Video lags at all in internet explorer. It uses a different rendering engine, and a different flash plugin than Palemoon/Firefox. That will at least track down whether its the browser or not.

Also try doing this benchmark. It may or may not provide some insight.

It would cause either one. It has nothing to do with hardware that the OP has, when everyone around the globe has been having the same issues streaming.

Same with Internet explorer. I use mainly twitch.tv and youtube. However, In stats for geeks it still shows 60+fps while im moving with cursor while it is lagging/tearing.

I have 100mb link speed up/down. Didnt have problem with my old pc. I use Process Lasso so all of my cpus are running at max, they are even unparked.

I would say its caused by the graphics. Damn this optimus combo from intel and nvidia.

Score from that benchmark: 2077
HTML5 Capabilities 7/7

That would be because of twitch.tv. Again it has nothing to do with your network or computer.

Majority of the streaming sites are just too overloaded period.

Have to disagree. Even when i watch 240p videos on youtube and i move with cursor (doesnt matter if its touchpad or gaming mouse), with every little move it tears playback.

Video apps like vlc or smplayer work without lags.

It's probably DPC latency check your DPC latency whenever the video is tearing.

Without problem.

However, I found something else. When i right click on video and choose Video playback stats it runs between 30-60 fps and after i move cursor FPS drops to 17 and lower.
In every browser.
