Solved Malware Email - Cannot delete or remove it (XeroxXRX9@..

Hi Guys,

New to forum, hoping someone can help me. I received an email from "XeroxXRX9C9 @ myowndomainname" which contains a word document which has a virus in it (I didn't open the word document!).
I cannot remove the actual email from Windows Live Mail 2012. When I try to delete it, it says an error occurred. When I try to move the message to junk or to deleted items, it says the message cannot be moved and an error occurred. I have tried to delete the message from my C:/Users...... appdata/.....inbox but when I click that particular message, it says I need administrator rights (I am the administrator of the machine). I can delete other messages without any issues.

I have AVG running which flagged up the Trojan and sent it to the vault, but I want to get rid of the actual message from my inbox but it just won't go. Any help would be great.

This is what i found and also at run command try MRT.EXE Windows Malicious Removal tool and also run free version of Malwarebytes to make sure all is clean with system for now which should be main concern. I've ran the MRT.EXE and download and ran the MalwareBytes. Both are coming up saying my system is clean. Thanks for the suggestions and link.
I would like to figure out how to delete the email anyway - don't like it sitting there (even though it hasn't infected my system).

Your welcome, not familiar with Windows Live 2012 never used it, but can try here see if these solutions work

Have you tried going to Outlook.com on a browser, signing in with your Live Mail account and deleting there ?

AVG and several other antiviruses have an annoying habit of locking the email in windows live mail
The simplest solution is to turn off avg, then delete the email

Thanks for that, that removed the emails. I temporarily disabled AVG and was able to delete the emails.
