Browsers running out of memory and crashing

I use a combo of Opera and Chrome and both browsers keep having tabs crash and state they are out of memory. Sometimes I will open one of the browsers and will get the crash message right off the bat, or just open a new tab and I will see it.

My machine is running 8.1, has 16GB of RAM, C: (SSD with 135GB free and main browser/programs installed) and a X: (Storage drive with some programs installed as well).

I know my machine is malware free and I know I am not running out of RAM. But I have a feeling it has something to do with my virtual memory settings. My C: is the only one with a paging file and is set to System managed.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both, disabling Samsung RAPID mode, disabling virtual memory on all drives, re-enabling virtual memory on just X: and C:

Any suggestions?
