Google chrome

I have a toshiba c50 satellite
On windows 8.1
And I'm pulling my hair out coz
I spent to long now on the stupid
Laptop. £300 from new and I can install Google chrome for windows
8.1 but it never opens so I can not
Sign into Google to check my emails and to use the web pages that I have saved in googles book mark.
Someone said has all your updates been installed? At that time no but I'm
Doing which looks like the last one so could that have anything to do with why Google won't open?
I never had this before when I had a acer laptop. Can some Genius help

May need to create an exception in your AV/Firewall. See here: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142061?hl=en

Try turning them off temporarily to see if it then opens.

If popeye's rec does not work, uninstall and reinstall Chrome from the official site.

I've installed it and got windows 8.1
On the official site. It works for now but see how it goes.
