IE 10 Desktop
Even though I have installed Adobe flash player I keep getting the message in IE 10 desktop that it is not installed and to install the latest version. I have uninstalled it and re-installed it several times and have run out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Install Flash for I.E. and not the non-I.E. version. Also make sure you are installing the same architecture as the browser you are using. For example, 32 or 64 bit.

Hi GMAN
I have been installing the correct version of flash with absolutely no success. I installed firefox out of desperation and flash works for it. I have no idea what is going on.

I'm sure you've probably checked these settings but it's worth a mention.
1. make sure javscript isn't disabled in IE
2. Make sure there's nothing odd in site approval for the flash addon and make sure it's enabled - image
3. Clear flash storage from Control panel/flash - image
4. If you're using any Tracking protection filters, disable them temporarily
