Merge IE Metro with Internet Explorer from "desktop"?

I thought I had read that you can merge them so the history, cookies, passwords, etc are the same in both. Also, any way to enable plugins for IE Metro? Thanks.

Metro IE is quite different to the desktop version. It doesn't support favourites but you can 'pin' sites, it also doesn't support plugins. You should take a look at Web browsing in Windows 8 Consumer Preview with IE10

I will check that out. I could have sworn though that I had read something where they could be merged or something to that effect. Thanks for the post.
