Internet Explore version 11.0.9600.17416

I have been having this problem error for a month or so. I have Microsoft Updates set to automatically download and install nay updates.

After I have used the back arrow more than 3 times I get this arrow.

"Internet Explorer has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

I have run a full scan with my security software and full scan with Microsoft Malicious scanner plus a full scan with the latest Malwarebytes Anti-Malware all do not find any problems.

Your suggestions to what the problem is are welcome.

Walter

Is this 3 consecutive times and the page will not go back, or 3 times during the time on the computer ?

I would first reset IE. (Internet Options/Advanced/Reset) You will not lose any data by selecting the first option.

Check the Event Viewer to see if a specific error code is identified. If so, research corrective action for that code.

(Control Panel/SystemandSecurity/Admin Tools/View Event Logs)

Back arrow 3 consecutive times, I don't see any thing in the Events View Log. If I reset IE as you suggest will I loose any favourites and history?

No, there are 2 options for reset. Select the one that does not remove history, personal settings, etc.

Also, forgot to add. Does the problem happen on all sites, or just 1 or 2 ?

I am currently having the backspace problem on one site, a news site, probably because the site was recently redesigned and there is a compatability issue with IE11.

Also, if it is just a few sites, check this link about compatability. But first I would recommend the reset.
