This morning when I was trying to open the web page of a financial company, the message appeared,

The requested URL was rejected. If you think this is an error, please contact the webmaster.

Your support ID is: 5378948895133347790

I have tried using Chrome, Firefox and IE, cleared cookies and caches, to open the page, the same message appeared.

But the web page can be easily opened by 3G.

It seems the issue has connection with the IP address through which the request was made.

How to solve the issue?

Go to internet options, and under the Privacy tab click Sites, enter the URL of the site and click Allow. Your Settings in the Privacy tab may be set wrong also, set them to Medium and try. This works for IE, I don't know about the other browsers if there is an equivalent.

This usually is a problem with cookies but in your case you have deleted them so I don't know.

Just a guess.

My settings are same as yours.

I spent the whole morning in testing to open the web page with the equipments I have. The following is a brief description of the result.

1. Desktop with Chrome, Firefox and IE, all browsers can not open the page.

--The desktop was scanned by Avast and no infection found.
--The desktop was restored to a date before this issue happen, but still the same result.

2. A i7 ultrabook with browsers same as desktop, and result same as desktop.

3. A Galaxy Note 10.1 with Chrome and built in browser, only Chrome can open the page.

4. A Sumsung S4 with browsers same as Note 10.1, all browsers cannot open the page.

The S4 has been rested before testing.

5. An old LG P500 with built in browser, it cannot open the page.

The desktop is connected to modem by LAN cable and the rest are connected to router through WiFi.
What is your idea about this issue? I am confused.

Just download and installed Opera, but still disappouinting.

I have a Gateway Desktop computer connected to the Internet via high-speed cable modem.
With an ether-net cable from the modem to the computer.
I use Opera.

If you would post a screen-shot of the error message it might help.

I really can't think of a reason this would be happening except maybe it has to do with the LAN & router setup.

Can you connect the Desktop directly to the Internet for a test ?

David,

Thank you for your efforts.

The problem was solved like magic.

This evening, before I went out for dinner with my family, I turned off the router.

When I returned home, I turned on the router and computer, surprisingly, I found everything returned to normal, I could open the web page and the message did not appear again.

I also tested others equipments, all worked fine.
