Hi! I am repeatedly getting the error "Internet Explorer not working" / Windows checking for solution/Last browsing closed unexpectedly , then Restore Session. I went to google to find a fix for this error .I'm being told to Press Window + W key then type in Troubleshooting in the Search box , then enter View All ,then Click IE Performance, then click Advanced etc..... The problem is that when I get to the Search box I start to type in the Troubleshooting and after one keystroke of the T, the computer automatically goes back to my desktop home page. The search engine box will not let me fix this problem. Can somebody help me ? Thanks so much! I have IE 10 and recently upgraded to the windows 8.1 from the Windows 8 about 3 weeks ago.

Are you sure you have Windows 8.1? If you were you would have IE 11
From the Charms bar search System and verify if indeed you have Windows 8.1

Hi! Yes I do and I have other errors also. The" Internet has stopped working "is not happening as frequently as last night. I tried to log on to my paypal account and got a funny looking screen that is not the normal paypal site . I quickly got out of that. I then went to Windows to check for updates and tried to update and updates wouldn't load. Got an error # 80246013. Then went to Windows troubleshooter click on it and got a screen that said "checking registery keys " and they stated it would take 2 minutes and 15 minutes later nothing has happened. I got a screen that said to check for drivers . I tried to do that check for drivers and couldn't seem to do that either. Seems like the computer is really messed up. I upgraded to Windows 8.1 about a month ago and am just now having problems. I'm not very computer tech savy so all of this confusing. Thanks for your help!

H1 I Just tried to install 4 windows updates. 2 of the 4 failed to install. Code 80070652 and Code 652. . I also continually have a message on HP support assistant that important action is needed after updating to Window 8.1. The message says to check for issues with drivers and compatibility but the links to do that also do not work. Is any of this related to the other issues? I really appreciate any help you can give me.

- You can google the error code to find how to resolve the problem.

- If you go to the HP website, customer support, downloads, it should have info on updating to 8.1

- Have you performed a security scan with your AV ?

- Consider reinstalling Win 8.1 by refreshing your system which will take you back to Win8.
