Windows 8.1 mail - Sent Items or Sent?

I am trying to get all my mail clients to put their sent mail into the same IMAP folder (so the sent mail can be seen by them all). Outlook (on Windows 7) and my iPhone are happily filing to Inbox/Sent.

However, despite selecting "Inbox/Sent" in the Special folders / Sent items in the Account Configuration in my Windows 8.1 mail client, the sent items appear in a folder called "Sent Items" when seen from the iPhone and Outlook (and also, this Sent Items folder is not a sub-folder of Inbox, but at the same level as Inbox).

Anyone know what's going on ?

thanks

Ian

I believe it is just the way the server (such as Hotmail.com) configures their email. Sent Items is what my folder is called when I use Hotmail. And yes, it is 'on its own level', rather than a subset of Inbox itself like other servers do. I do not know a solution to the problem, however, but I hope this information can help.
