How to pretty it up

OK I have Windows 8, and am using Windows Live Mail which I down loaded from day one.

Question:: How do I put an avatar and signature on bottom of my e-mail so it is always there automatically?

I have never done this before, but noticed some people do have it.

Click on File->Options->Email, You'll get the screen below, click on signatures tab.

Thanks I got that page up and managed to put my name in but, can't seem to put my avatar in between my first and second name.

You probably have to set it up in an html file which you can embed an avatar in your sig.

OK, I probably should point out that you are talking to a 74 year old, with a reasonable grip on my computer but a long way from being a Computer Guru. Having said that, I got this far.

The avatar is currently stored as,
Rich text Document RTD

When I click the down arrow I get the following choices.
Open Office XML Document
Open Document Text
Text Document
Text Document -MS-DOS Format
Unicode Text Document

Where do I find html ?

OK. Normally you have to use html editor. However, to make it easy I make one for you.
just download the zip file, extract the files to your C:\ folder then set up your sig as follows:

EDIT: use notepad to edit the sig.html file and change the text to your name, email, phone, avatar etc...

Yes, what is above is exactly what I would like, but I am not having any luck in changing the file type to anything other than what I listed above.

Windows 7 was a breeze, and I am seriously thinking about going backwards.

OK that is not correct, and I will keep battling along, but it is testing for an old brain.
If you can give me the instructions in Kindergarten Language as a final effort, I will give it another bash.

OK, I am getting close as I can get all the print on, but the Avatar (Small photo) just wont go in the middle..

Thanks topgundcp, as I have been having trouble trying to put the photo into JPG. So I put it onto a memory stick and went back to my old computer, as my new Windows 8 didn't seem to like JPG as I mentioned earlier. So I will give it a whirl and come back to you, Cheers.
