New firefox ver 32

Just installed the new FF version 32 and did an extensive close open close open etc to see if it still had the old problem of mine, when closed it would not reopen because it said FF was still open, although closed. So far, seems ok. Feels a little more 'solid' too. Will try it on full pc when it comes back from shop!

Did you update or a fresh install ?

Yeah, best that way.

Whenever I try a browser out I always try and do a fresh copy. I use iobit uninstaller to remove the 'olde version' because it removes it from the registry too.

I use Revo, same reasons, same result, beats cleaning after uninstall.

I have had to remove Firefox 31 and 32 then reinstall 30 plus disable the automatic updates. The two latest screws up my IMAP E-Mail by not allowing the Reply and Compose windows to open enough to type. It's the only browser I have the issue with and it is the same on Win7, WinVista, Win8.1, Mac OS X Mavericks and Linux Mint 17. My ISP that provides the E-Mail service says they have other clients with problems with those two versions. Haven't gotten a response from Firefox yet [since FF31 came out].

I have just seen a 64 bit version of FF

Being advertised on Mozilla (US) site but I cant find the UK equivalent ?

The one I installed above was on my laptop but now back on my pc.

Found another download site with this info:

The latest v26 stops plugins playing automatically, adds MP3 support on Windows XP and more

Slowly but surely you are becoming Mozzila fan or what ?

not really, if a new version is out I would like to look at it. I cant find the same link that I downloaded for the laptop, as this pc is 64 bit too.

A week ago,it was Chrome launching its 64 version,FF is right behind "upgrading" its bits!
Only available as "nightly"?

Some sites are way behind, even as far as claiming FF do not do a 64 version !!!!!

Thanks again Edwin, but they are all US (as in USA ) I got the UK version on my laptop and wanted the same. I will have a look at my laptop, copy download to One Drive, then download it to pc.

Okay. I figured it was just a matter of choosing the proper language pack at install but I could be wrong.

I am now running FF ver 32 (not to be confused with 32 bit) and as default. So far no re-occurrence of my old problem of FF not closing down.
