See here:

Google Chrome 64-bit Arrives for Windows 7 and Windows 8

To install it, open the page below and click on the link "You can also download Chrome for Windows 64-bit", then click on the download button.

Note that the article points to a bug list which shows some issues for the metro version, so if you use the telephone interface then you may want to wait a while before installing it.

https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/

Once downloaded, run the installer to install. I did this from chrome 32 bit, and somehow it magically turned it into the 64 bit version. To be sure I completely stopped chrome by closing all instances from the task manager, then started it again. The only way I can tell it is now 64 bit is to look at "About Google Chrome". It appears to be compatible with all of my extensions and works fine otherwise. It seems faster, but that may be somewhat self delusion.

Thanks but you are running the DEV version, the official version is still 37.xxxxx. However, I just went back to 32 bit because couple of my extensions did not work with 64 bit and to be honest I did not see any difference in speed. My main browser is still Firefox and the only time I use Chrome so I can use Chromecast to cast my Video to the big screen TV.

I never found the 32bit to be slow in the least. Everything is pretty much instant.

Just purchased a re-furb tablet from Dell and was frustrated with Chrome performance right out of the box. Was concerned the system might be a dud since Chrome was so slow and glitchy, and 3-4 tabs seemed to be overwhelming performance. So far the 64bit version of Chrome seems to resolve the issues I was experiencing. I can now open several tabs and work on small db size excel files at the same time. Dell refurb lives to see another day! :p

Really? I tried it on other PC and it runs lightning fast. I am seriously considering moving back to Chrome.

Likewise. Pretty impressive! I just can't stomach Google's 'Father knows best'/'Cram it down your throat' approach!
(The Dev version is even more impressive)

Just to be clear - you have to specifically download it, at least for now you won't get it through the normal update process on the 32 bit version.
