Solved Firefox not showing pictures in sigs, YouTube won't work

This just started. I noticed on a forum that I frequent, avatars do show. If that person has a picture in their sig, no picture. Just the word "Image". Also, if they imbed a YouTube video, just get the border and it says YouTube at the top. Video isn't clickable (no play button). If I go to YouTube, the page is displayed really weird. Also, if I use a bookmark, I get the message that the video is unavailable. So, I decided to come here for some help. HA! Should've seen the mess the page looked like. I had my settings to use the dark theme. I changed to the default theme and everything seems to be OK. Oops, spoke to soon. I see no options to insert a screen capture. Also, I use Google News as my homepage. That doesn't load correctly either. Also notice that my formatting (new paragraph) doesn't work either. It shoves everything into one paragraph. System is clean. YouTube works fine in IE. Also, I've not installed any new programs for awhile. Haven't added any new addons either. Just one of those, worked fine last night but not this morning. Edited to add: Just checked the What are you listening to? thread. I get blank, no videos show at all. Also, I have Tor Browser installed. I did make some changes from default in it. To block stuff. Don't see how that would affect my regular Firefox browser.

Sounds (or looks) like a problem with Flash. Check and see if Shockwave Flash shows up within Firefox addons.

I use FF 27.0. So far if I try anything later I get unwelcome side effects.

Checked addons and Shockwave Flash is shown. Also have the latest version of Firefox. I checked Adobe and have the latest flash.

I'm sure at some stage I've had the same problem with Firefox. One option is to reset it:

and to reinstall Flash afterwards.

Video on Reuters' website plays with no problem. When I right click on the video I get the settings for flash. On PBS' site, it doesn't. If I check flash at Adobe, it shows current version and that it's working. I also uninstalled/reinstalled flash and there's no change.

Try another browser such as Opera. I think Opera still shows multimedia out of the box. At least the 12.x x64 version should. That may give an idea where the problem llies.

Uninstalled/reinstalled flash for the 2nd time. Seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks everyone for their suggestions.

every damned browser has a different problem, I wonder if these people actually do test to destruction of just give their handiwaork a cursory glance.

Firefox, problems, IE problems, Chrome problems so I went back to Opera and everything seemed fine until I tried to reconnect to the net, on my laptop, via the dongle. Opera refuses to open it. I have to paste the url into IE, open it, then open opera.
