Any particular reason, you need to run Shockwave? I have hardly seen a webpage, that would use it.

Shockwave Flash with, Youtube, IPTV programs,etc, tons of places is still needed. In IE 11 it's embedded, in most other browsers you'll have to get a plug-in for it. Luckily, HTML5 is used more and more and most browsers are made ti handle it transparently.

I have never seen Shockwave Flash to be used on youtube only normal flash.

It's all the same. It contains Flash and is used as distribution, originally from Adobe Director to play flash MM made in that format, became de facto standard for flash.

Indeed, but there is no need trying to get Shockwave to work, since it is mostly not needed.

When I download this:

FireFox
FlashFF.jpg
Without that one even if only set to "Ask to activate" anything "Flash" shows black box asking to install or activate Flash.
