Browser Settings

Browser History not clearing

I am on Widows 8.1 been on it 12 months
I am having problems with my browsers settings Chrome – Firefox – IE 11– plus when put in a search engine.
I have a web site which I have done some major changes to, but when I go to check the new site on the web, it is the old one there. I went back andremoved the site altogether but all browsers still find it there
How can I stop this happening?

Some possibilities: clear browser cache (everything) and restart browser \ refresh using f5 \ refresh using ctrl+f5
See what works best. If that does not help (it should!) your webhost and\or internet provider has some caching going on.

Sorry but it did not work, I have cleared browsercache on all three browsers, but thinking about it there may be one difficulty.
1) I have a web site on the free space that comes with mybroadband.
2) I have used all the space allotted to me
3) I built another site on X10Hostings which is a free spacearea
4) Put a short cut to it on my home page, of the first site
5) It is the second site, which is not changing, when Iclick the short cut.
6) But if I copy the short cut off my home page and paste itinto the bowser it works, it goes to the new area on all 3 browsers.
