Odd problem, webpages don't load properly a lot of times

I used to have this problem long time ago, it disappeared, but it came back again. Basically, whenever I load up a webpage, via chrome, internet explorer or anything, sometimes it would fail to go to the website entirely and give me an erorror that the website is not found without even checking with the server (I know cause it happens as soon as i click enter with no query to the server whatsoever), when I click refresh or go again, it then loads. Sometimes webpages doesn't load properly, elements of pages go missing like pictures, layout messes up, etc.

This is not related to web browser only, as Steam also does those problems while browsing through the store. Any ideas?

    My system:

    Windows 8.1
    Core i5 4670
    MSI z87-G43 gaming motherboard
    Sapphire R9 290
    8GB RAM
    Killer e2200 Gigabit NIC

    Every driver is updated.

If you have Avast Antivirus disable internet protection, worked for me.

Perhaps your internet connection has a high error rate? Most errors are correctable but with lots of errors pouring in a few will get through, messing up transmission.

This site (there are others) will test for packet loss. If it shows 100% loss your router may have ping blocked, you'll have to unblock ping to run the test. Error rates can come and go, so test it repeatedly, especially when you are having problems. Whenever I test I get a 0% error rate.

Thanks for your reply. I think I know why I'm having this problem, a quick look at the task manager memory, I can see my non paged memory is big, 1.5gb. I used to have this problem when there was memory leak, due to my network card driver most likely. I don't understand though as I'm using the latest driver from my motherboard website which was dated few days ago.

Ok, I solved the problem! The clue had to do with the fact only webpages would give me problems, but anything else would be just fine. Turns out, my DNS servers were **** up. I changed it to Google Public DNS servers and now everything works and loads like a charm.
