Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 8?

I am having trouble with not being able to click on links on IE10 for some web applications for my work. Any tips? I was trying to install IE9 but it says IE 9 is already installed.

IE9 is on the system by default. Don't you have it in the desktop taskbar. If not, you can find it in Program files.

My windows 8 only has IE 10. Th icon on the desktop taskbar opens IE 10 not 9.

Just a friendly warning: Do not uninstall IE10! You can not install IE9 on Windows 8, installer simply tells the Windows version is wrong.

If you want to, you can uninstall IE10 from Programs and features:

2.

However, this leaves you completely without IE as 10 seems to be only version of it that is possible to install on 8.

That is unfortunate. I wonder why my IE10 cannot work properly (it seems like the link that is not working on me is a JavaScript supposedly)

You could try a Reset of your IE10 by going to Internet Options and click Advanced, click Reset at the bottom, HTH.

IE10 is working great for me. Since I accidentally installed Google Chrome, I tried it, and it is also very fast. I cannot figure out why the 8 Preview, loaded on a virtual machine, is so much faster than Win 7 on my host system.

The reason its faster on a virtual machine is because the website is just threads because its on a virtual machine. Once loaded up its done. And in the regular OS its a hundred times a second updating itself even after the website has loaded up. So that takes up alot of computing power and internet. I discovered this because I updated the number of threads each wepage uses at once using the registry edit. Now mine loads twice as fast. But if it hadn't been programmed that way, we won't have to have slow internet.
