Does anyone have 64-bit version of IE11 on their 8.1?

In the Help > About Internet Explorer it should say (64 Bit) if you have 64 bit.

Hi Brink, thanks for the reply. I did look at the tut but not sure what tab processes mean (?)

How can you tell what's running with 32-bit and what's running with 64-bit?

In 64-bit Windows 8.1, the IE11 browser frame process (both “modern UI” and Desktop) runs 64-bit. However, for compatibility with plug-ins, IE11 on the desktop runs 32-bit tab processes by default.

Basically, if you have 64-bit Windows, IE11 will run 64-bit, but opened tabs in desktop IE11 will run 32-bit by default.

If you enable EPM in IE11, then both IE11 and opened tabs will run 64-bit in desktop IE11.

So it's like a hybrid system switching, able to detect what needs to be opened as (32 or 64) when required?

That's kinda confusing.

Sort of. The tabs will always use 32-bit unless EPM is turned on, then they'll always use 64-bit.
