I prefer Firefox as my default browser. When I click on certain links, I get the site I want for maybe half a second or less, then an error message that reads:
[h=2]HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found[/h] [h=3]The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.[/h]
My husband, who is also running Windows 8 on his computer, does not get this message when clicking on the same link. Sometimes I am able to access the site by clicking on the back button, but not always. Sometimes I just end up with some kind of Yahoo page. By the way, there is no problem with this when I use Internet Explorer.
Is there some kind of software installed on my computer that is preventing certain sites from coming up? How can I get rid of this?
