Need a free, third party smtp service.

Just for basic home user use. Switching isp's, and for some ungodly reason new isp does not have an email service.

Looking for something other than ms or google based.

Any thoughts welcome.

yahoo.com, gmail.com, me.com (icloud.com) all use imap based email services. The imap server settings for yahoo is: incoming: imap.mail.yahoo.com, outgoing: smtp.mail.yahoo.com. Security SSL for both Send & Receive, ports: (send) 993, (rcv) 465.

If you go with @me.com, use the iCloud control panel, and it will set up Outlook if you have it. If you do not plan on using Outlook desktop install, but something else, the settings are: incoming: po2-imap.mail.me.com, outgoing: p02-smtp.mail.me.com. Security SSL, port 993 for incoming. Security TLS, port 587 for outgoing.
