IE opens, but doesn't function properly, won't display web pages and the settings are all greyed out. running 8.1 Pro with Media Center 64 bit. Ran SFC/Scan, but got the error that it found corrupt files but couldn't repair them. Then I couldn't find the file cbs.log to see. I also turned off IE11 rebooted and turned it on then rebooted with the same result. I did have a virus (which I can't remember the name). that is gone but now this. here is screen shot sorry it is small. I'm new here. :) it is just a "white screen"

Do the rest of your browsers function properly? Have you tried resetting IE 11 to default settings? Do you have any addon's in IE 11?

Awesome, that was it. i remembered I could go to internet options through Control Panel. Reset everything to default, rebooted and that did it! Thanks Bassfisher6522!

I have the same issue. However after resetting everything to the default and rebooting, there is no change. The tools menu is mostly greyed out, the address bar remains blank, and when entering a URL, nothing happens. I've looked for a way to uninstall and reinstall IE 11, but that does not appear to be possible. Firefox, Chrome, and Safari all work as expected. Can someone please provide additional guidance? Thanks.
