ok, after months I am still not able to run Flash in IE 11
Even on this page
Flash Player Issues | Windows 8
I am getting

You aren’t running Internet Explorer in Windows 8.
For other troubleshooting tips, see Flash Player Help.

Had several NEW Windows 8.1 installs from scratch..
but it just doesn't want to work... I have another pc and that one works fine... it's just on this laptop it refuses to work..
Any thoughts? since MS doesn't seem to care

The Adobe Flash uninstaller doesn't uninstall it for Windows 8.1 with IE 11
Installing the latest beta won't work either.
Download Adobe Flash Player 12 Beta for Desktops - Adobe Labs

The current version in IE 11 is V11.xx.xx.xx and I can't get rid of it..

"You aren't running Internet Explorer"....what browser are you running? Flash Player is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 8.1. But other browsers you will have to install it.

For IE see the bottom section here: Flash Player Issues | Windows 8

Also try adding that web page to Compatibility View in IE Tools.

I am running IE 11 like I stated.
Also, I have those patches installed.. tried uninstall, but nothing works.
I tried Compatibility view as well already.

IE11 for some mysterious reason known only to MS, disables, on some computers, Flash. Have another look in your add ons and make sure it is in fact, enabled.

Yep it's enabled.
Even tried uninstalling it with the Adobe tool, but even that doesn't work.

It might be the particular web page. With the page open hit F12 and try different document modes, browser agents and/or strings. I had the same issue where the Nvidia site kept saying I didn't have Flash installed. I selected a different agent and it immediately saw Flash. The site hadn't been updated for IE11. I had a similar issue with now.msnbc.com. I had to change the document mode in the F12 debug screen. Give it a try.

This solution does not work in all cases unfortunately. The problem in the example in my prior post was not solved by simply adding the site to the compatibility mode list. I have to change the document mode for the Flash object to play.

I did not add the site, I just checked the MS compatibility mode list
now, all the sites I was having problems with, are all working for me.
