How to sync Global address book with Contacts?

Why can I not sync my Global Address Book? When I add info via active directory, it updates in the GAB, not in the contact list, and the contact list is what shows on the phone....and is what we need to update as we add info!!!!! Why isn't this possible? That isn't "syncing" that is just refreshing what is already there! We have around 500 employees, and having to log into each of there emails and add new contacts manually is NOT ok.

How do I sync my droid with exchange's GAB? Like I said, I can copy all of the GAB to contacts, but that doesn't do anything? It doesn't update in there when you add or change information....Pleas, please, please, tell me I am crazy and just missing one little thing, because if not, this exchange is worthless.

Is this something that is really that hard? I usually get a lot more of a response in these forums.

Ok, my question is a little more specific so if anyone can lead me in the right direction, i'd really appreciate it.

My question is this.

When I add new staff via Active directory, it populates in about 24 hours in the global address list, but it does NOT update in the contacts, and the contacts are what sync to the phone. Make sense? With that being said, exchange is pointless for that! I mean, it isn't easy to have to go to over 500 employees and manually copy all contacts from the GAL to the contact list.


So how can I get the GAL to sync with my droid or how do I get contacts added via active directory to populate in the contact list?

I am going to bump this, because we still have not been able to sync the actual contacts to phones without doing it manually

Ok, No one seems to know anything about this, which is frustrating. But could it be a setting in Outlook itself? To have the address book, when updated, automatically updates the contacts in outlook as well? Can someone at lease point me to the right place, please!
