Hey all,
To start, I'm a recent newbie, coming over from the seven forums, in search of solutions and ideas of all kinds.
Here's my issue... I'm attempting to set up outlook 2010 for an employee on a new laptop, and regardless of what I have tried, I am getting the same message over and over. "the action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." This is getting so very frustrating, as I cannot seem to get past set up to begin with
.
The os details are as follows, Windows 8.1, outlook 2010, http connection, Microsoft exchange server 2003.
I have tried several different setting changes, turned down\off the firewalls, checked that the antivirus (trend micro) is not blocking anything, and tried both the local address and url address for the server. I'm at a loss at this point, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
If you need any other information please let me know, I've been struggling with this issue for a couple of days now, and I'm at a loss as to what to do next.
