How do I get IE to let me play embedded videos? I can watch vids on Youtube, but if I go to a web site where they have embedded videos, it doesn't show them. What I mean is that it doesn't even acknowledge there is a video there. I even had someone with sight look at the site I was on, and she didn't see a video at all. At first I thought it was just that site, but I was just now doing a Google search, and I kept coming on sites that said they had video clips, only there were no video clips. This happened on every single site I visited. I checked my addons and shockwave is enabled. Also, I'm using the desktop version of IE, as the metro version isn't Jaws friendly, but I tried using th metro version, and it still didn't play the embedded vids.

I really appreciate the reply, and I hate to be a pain, but can you please put that in words rather than a picture? I'm totally blind, and my screen reader only reads text, not pictures. Thanks.

In Internet Options click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section.
Put a check in the boxes for enabling the following options:

Enable alternative codecs in HTML 5 media elements
(requires restart)

Play animations in webpages
(requires restart)

Play sounds in webpages

Show pictures

Click Apply and OK & restart the computer.

These settings MAY help.
You need Flash enabled in Internet Explorer also.

If this info doesn't help, someone else will have to help you.

How do you get the patches? Do they come with the automatic updates? I never install optional ones because it's mostly just a bunch of toolbars, although maybe I should go ahead and install Quicktime, not sure
