IE11 - can't right click on the browser back button

It's a minor niggle really, but I'm finding it very frustrating that right clicking on the browser back button doesn't achieve anything - I'm really used to it popping down a list of the previous pages so I can hop back for example to the search engine results list page which I had about four pages ago etc.
Is it only me, or has this stopped working for everyone with the latest updates?

(IE11 on Wins 8.1)

Welcome to the forums LadyBird,

Just tried it on my computer and the right-click on the back button of IE11 works perfectly for me.:D

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for your problem but I'm sure someone will be around shortly to help you.

Good luck.

Same here. Forgot about the metro version, never use it. Just checked it ... right-click doesn't work on the metro version.

Hi adamf and CorkNCavan
Thanks for your comments - yes, I should have made it clear that it is IE11 Desktop not metro (does anyone use metro?!).

Now that I know it should still be possible, I need to spend a bit of time working my way through all the possible IE settings / PC settings / add-ons / other software etc that could be causing a conflict.
Could take a while....

You could try to reset to defaults. Go to internet options, advanced tab and then click on "Reset". Worth a shot.

If that doesn't work try from elevated command prompt sfc /scannow

Reset to defaults and also starting IE with no addons (-extoff) - still no joy. Will report progress on other attempts later.
