Mail in Win8

You should be able to configure it with a local account. The only app I know of that needs a MS account is SkyDrive.

I am a MS purist. I try not to use third-party programs unless I absolutely have to. I sign into my PC using and Ms account, so I'm ignorant to local accounts. I will ask a friend to see if he can help.

Ok. Let's start from square one. A few questions, so please answer.

    1) You are using Windows 8, not 8.1, correct?

    2) With a local account?

    3) This is concerning the Modern/Metro Windows Mail Store app, correct? The one with the tile on the Start Screen, correct? It's usually placed as number 1, unless you moved it.

    4) What account are you trying to create?

    Group e mail

Ok, finally have my e mail set up in Win8. Thank you to everyone who helped. Now my question is how to make a "group" I had all of my Investment club members in a group before so I could just select the group and send a mass e mail. Is there a way to add a "group" to my contacts in win8? I am slowly getting all my contacts back in...but still haven't figured out a group.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Hi there. Welcome back.

Surprisingly I don't see my Groups in my People app nor a way to add Groups anywhere in the app, however, I can add Groups via my Outlook account online as seen here: Microsoft Community - Microsoft Windows

I thought I could create one in a new contact, but it only allows for 3 email addresses, so that won't work.

Strange that I see my Groups in my Windows Phone 8 Contacts, but not my 8.1 PC app. Hmm...I'll have to look further into this, unless someone else knows.

    Hope that helps a little.
