Hi

I cannot get this to show in IE11, I cannot even get a tick to show when I go to View/Google Toolbar.

I have tried the supposed fix of unchecking the settings in Tools/Compatibility View Settings and Google Toolbar is enabled in Tools/Manage Addons.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Daniel

Hi

Google toolbar works on my W7 PC with IE11, so it must be a W8.1 thing.

Cheers

HI

Yes I saw that when I tried to reinstall Google Toolbar on my W8.1 PC, but on my W7 PC I had Google Toolbar
installed on IE10 and when I upgraded my browser to IE11 it still works.

It is a pity MS did not check that Google Toolbar worked before they made changes, all this has accomploished is to drive me to Google Chrome browser after resisting for years but I need the search facilities of the Google Toolbar and that is available with Google Chrome through their address bar searching.

But I have just thought of a way round this and still use IE11, I'll give it a go.

Cheers

Daniel

...It is a pity MS did not check that Google Toolbar worked before they made changes,...

I have a feeling it is a deliberate change to make it NOT work.

I agree, it would be okay if BING was actually useable as a search engine....

I wonder how I get "Translate Website" up in IE11, does MS have an equivalent?

It does not run win7 64 bit but does in 32 bit

I think it is 64 bit os that messes it up.

Either way, MS should make sure things work before putting them out there, more and more people are using x64
and MS is driving them to Chrome Browser, I am trying to use IE but get frustrated and turn to Chrome because I
cannot use Google Toolbar search in IE.

Cheers (but sad)

Was it a recent download of the install file or was it a file you already had?

Aloha Daniel

It was a new download, done sometime in early 2014 (Just Purchased a New Dell 8700 during Christmas - 64 bits system).

Hope it works for you.
