alright, the new Yahoo Mail is out...

And for the browser, it has taken a major step backwards for functionality. You can't even sort by sender! Lots of functionality gone now. They're still implementing but it's a sad day if these features don't return soon. Well, they did make it look prettier.

As for the Metro app, it's actually a pretty cool app. It was always a pretty decent app, but now, it's better organized. The funny thing is now the Metro app version matches the browser version feature for feature. Kind of funny actually.

Yes, Robin. As per PM. To answer your latest PM and for all to see here:

I'll have to give it odds that it's the Yahoo system at fault. I don't have a Yahoo account to test, but all other accounts I have work via synching with in the 8/8.1 Mail app. No one else seems to have this problem either. At least no one else has responded to this problem. Perhaps dirtvu can add something?

One would think that this should at least work in the Yahoo Store app.

It may be my ill overview, but I don't see a whole lot of posts on this forum about working with Store apps and/or problems such as this. It's mostly posts about the problems of opening Store apps. However I do realize that Brink has a whole slew of tutorials about working with Store apps.

If you have not already done so, I would advise to contact Yahoo customer service or support. If not a link in the app itself, there should be a link via the Store's description of the app.

Hope that helps.

the win8 app is still cloud-based. is there an offline mode with syncing?

I haven't notice any contacts problems. Contacts are stored in the cloud anyway (unless I'm wrong about it really having an offline mode).

Maybe it's an issue as they're transitioning to the new Yahool Mail? Who knows.

The yahoo app contains all his contacts and emails and seems to work pretty good
