Help Signing Out of Mail, Please!

Good Morning!

New user to Windows 8 here.

I made the mistake of associating my gmail account with the mail charm on the main page, and now I can NOT find a way to log out! Every time I turn the computer on - I have a new Dell Inspiron 20 - I am automatically logged in to my gmail.

Other users in the family will be using the computer and I'd really rather that not happen. So far, the only way I can see is to uninstall mail, but that would also uninstall the calendar and messaging too. I'm not sure I want to do that although I see no real use for them.

Does anyone know how I can get out of auto-signing in to mail, or should I go for the uninstall?

Thank you so much!:thumb:

You can remove the account - go to mail, open charms (with win key + C), go to settings, then accounts and select gmail. At the bottom hit the remove key.

I don't think you can stop it synching if you have it set up.

Alternatively, or as well, you could set up another account for the others to use - this would stop them messing with your settings also :)

Hope this helps.
